"When Chuck isn't around"

Films: Dolly Dearest (1991)

Alias: Sanzia

Type: Mystical

Location: Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of an average doll.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: More dolls, more pain. It's always the cute ones they possess, so it seems. But that's not going to stop us from getting bored of it sooner or later.

History: A long time ago, a cursed Mayan child possessed by the archdemon Sanzia was killed after his insatiable appetite for the flesh of his peers almost drove the people to extinction. Now, his tomb resides at the bottom of an ancient tomb...about a hop and a skip away from the Dolly Dearest toy factory. And now, some idiotic archaeologist has released Sanzia's spirit, which now inhabits a seemingly innocent doll recently given to a little girl, who slowly succumbs to the demon's thrall.

Notable Kills: Nothing special

Final Fate: After the doll is blasted by a shotgun, Sanzia's grip on the girl is severed. But then the doll manages to reanimate its kin, and just as they seem to appear triumphant, the whole factory is blown up, banishing Sanzia back to Hell.

Powers/Abilities: Possession, amplification of aggression for its followers.

Weakness: Cannot control others if its concentration is thrown off.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-It may be a small doll, but this one is legitimately possessed by a powerful demon, and it kind of shows. The doll's expressions are certainly unsettling, like a puppet trying to emulate masculine rage. Also, it almost led an entire doll army. How creepy is that?

Trivia: -Although it was simply meant to be a direct-to-video release, this film did get some time in theaters in the Midwestern U.S.

-One of many dolls used in production for this film was auctioned off on Ebay.
